CONGRATULATING the SUNY Broome Community College
Women's Soccer Team and Head Coach Bill Rich upon
the occasion of capturing the 2016 NJCAA Division
III Women's Soccer Championship on November 13, 2016

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to pay tribute to
outstanding athletes who have distinguished themselves through their
exceptional performance, attaining unprecedented success and the highest
level of personal achievement; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
congratulate the SUNY Broome Community College Women's Soccer Team and
Head Coach Bill Rich upon the occasion of capturing the 2016 NJCAA
Division III Women's Soccer Championship on Sunday, November 13, 2016;
to the praise and applause of their excited fans, the Hornets defeated
Erie Community College at the Ocean County Stadium, Toms River, New
Jersey, in a dominating 3-0 victory to capture the Championship; and

WHEREAS, Proudly donning the school's colors of black and yellow,
family, friends, and the community at large loyally and enthusiastically
supported the Hornets throughout their journey as they ended their
season with an impressive 21-1 overall record; and

WHEREAS, In a sport such as soccer, which demands athletic prowess,
speed and agility, Head Coach Bill Rich, and Assistant Coaches Chris
Grafton and MarTee Kolpakas worked hard to hone the skills of this
championship team, teaching these outstanding athletes lessons which
will prove invaluable both on and off the field; and

WHEREAS, Head Coach Bill Rich, and Assistant Coaches Chris Grafton
and MarTee Kolpakas, and all of the outstanding athletes on the SUNY
Broome Community College Women's Soccer Team have clearly utilized
dedication, determination and teamwork in providing a lasting
contribution to the spirit of excellence which is a tradition of their
school; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate the members of the SUNY Broome Community College Women's
Soccer Team: Jolene Krom, Allison O'Shea, Ashley Bush, Katlyn Henry,
Kendra Henry, Nicole Harmer, Mikaela Mazerolle, Kaelyn Michitti,
Margaret Edwards, Marissa Michitti, Emily Gibson, Lauren Sicardi,
Brittany Campbell, Amanda Tersigni, Megan Canzler, Emiley Myers, Alexa
Rudilosso, and Lindsey Aingworth; Head Coach Bill Rich; and Assistant
Coaches Chris Grafton and MarTee Kolpakas upon the occasion of capturing
the 2016 NJCAA Division III Women's Soccer Championship; and be it
further

RESOLVED, That copies of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to the members of the SUNY Broome Community College Women's
Soccer Team, Head Coach Bill Rich; and Assistant Coaches Chris Grafton
and MarTee Kolpakas.
