HONORING Batavia Cross Training upon the occasion
of its designation as recipient of the 2017 Special
Service Recognition of the Year Award by the Genesee
County Chamber of Commerce

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to recognize that
the quality and character of life in the communities across New York
State are enhanced by the concerned and dedicated efforts of businesses
and individuals that generously contribute to the welfare of the
community and its citizenry; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Batavia Cross Training upon the occasion of its designation as recipient
of the 2017 Special Service Recognition of the Year Award by the Genesee
County Chamber of Commerce to be celebrated at its 46th Annual Awards
Ceremony on Saturday, March 3, 2018, at the Quality Inn & Suites in
Batavia, New York; and

WHEREAS, Batavia Cross Training is a gym which offers a workout
program to individuals 100% committed to and focused on improving their
fitness; each and every staff member at the gym is committed to helping
everyone and anyone achieve their goals; and

WHEREAS, Along with implementing results driven training for its
clients, Batavia Cross Training teaches them how to develop nutrition
plans, set and reach goals, and methods for maintaining motivation; and

WHEREAS, The Batavia Cross Training program is for people of all
ages, backgrounds, and fitness levels; the workouts are difficult,
exhausting and often challenge their client's mental toughness; and

WHEREAS, Batavia Cross Training's experience, knowledge, and
commitment to excellence is what truly sets it apart from other local
fitness programs; and

WHEREAS, Under the luminous leadership of Head Coach Jessica Pratt,
Batavia Cross Training graciously supports various worthy organizations
such as Genesee Cancer Assistance and Crossroads House; she also
established a scholarship for a Genesee County senior who is entering
the field of law enforcement; and

WHEREAS, The success of Batavia Cross Training is in direct
correlation to the efforts of its staff, whose involvement is, and
always has been, characterized by an impressive commitment, an unbridled
enthusiasm, and an uncompromising standard of excellence in all
endeavors on behalf of the institution and the community it serves; and

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when
businesses of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our
attention, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens
of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Batavia Cross Training upon the occasion of its designation as
recipient of the 2017 Special Service Recognition of the Year Award by
the Genesee County Chamber of Commerce; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Jessica Pratt, Head Coach, Batavia Cross Training.
