CONGRATULATING Detective Lieutenant Patrick
McMaster upon the occasion of his retirement after
25 years of distinguished service to the Orchard
Park Police Department
WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to recognize and
honor those distinguished officers and citizens who would devote
themselves to public service, demonstrating great courage and diligence
in providing for the care and welfare of the citizens of their
communities and this great Empire State; and
WHEREAS, Within every community of the State of New York there are
certain individuals who, by virtue of their commitment and dedication,
command the respect and admiration of their community for their
exemplary contributions and service on behalf of others; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to congratulate
Detective Lieutenant Patrick McMaster upon the occasion of his
retirement after 25 years of distinguished service to the Orchard Park
Police Department; and
WHEREAS, Patrick McMaster began his illustrious career in law
enforcement as a patrol officer working the midnight shift in July of
1993; he was promoted and served as a midnight patrol lieutenant from
2001 until 2006; and
WHEREAS, For his steadfast and unwavering commitment to the
department, Patrick McMaster was promoted to Detective Lieutenant in
2006, during which time he became an invaluable asset to the Detective
Bureau; and
WHEREAS, In this capacity, Detective Lieutenant Patrick McMaster
worked tirelessly investigating some of the department's most noteworthy
cases; additionally, he spent Sundays in the fall and winter working
home games for the Buffalo Bills; and
WHEREAS, For more than two decades, Detective Lieutenant Patrick
McMaster rendered faithful, conscientious and valuable service to the
Orchard Park Police Department, earning him the admiration, esteem and
affection of his colleagues; and
WHEREAS, With him throughout have been his wife, Becky, and their
two sons, who have all shown him love and support and rejoice in his
many achievements; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those
dedicated public servants who unselfishly devote their lives to the
preservation of order and the protection of others are worthy and due
full praise for their commitment and noble endeavors; now, therefore, be
it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate Detective Lieutenant Patrick McMaster upon the occasion of
his retirement after 25 years of distinguished service to the Orchard
Park Police Department; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Detective Lieutenant Patrick McMaster.
