COMMENDING W. Tresper Clarke High School upon the
occasion of being named a top public high school in
New York State by U.S. News & World Report: Best
High Schools 2019

WHEREAS, New York State's commitment to education is unparalleled;
its history and stature are secured by the superlative caliber of its
educational professionals and the students they inspire; and

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and
commend those institutions of true purpose and high achievement whose
exemplary programs and accomplishment clearly demonstrate an enduring
pursuit of excellence in the education of the youth of the Empire State;
and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
commend W. Tresper Clarke High School upon the occasion of being named a
top public high school in New York State by U.S. News & World Report:
Best High Schools 2019; and

WHEREAS, The U.S. News & World Report: Best High Schools rankings
identify the country's top performing public high schools; the schools
are ranked on their performance on state-required tests, graduation
rates, and how well its students are prepared for college; and

WHEREAS, Nationally, W. Tresper Clarke High School is ranked No.
1,075 out of roughly 21,000 public high schools; furthermore, it is
ranked No. 96 in New York State; and

WHEREAS, W. Tresper Clarke High School has continually demonstrated
an impressive dedication, an unparalleled devotion and an unremitting
enthusiasm for the quality of educational programs and opportunities
offered for the benefit of its faculty, students and the entire
community; and

WHEREAS, The steadfast and unyielding commitment of parents,
educators and administrators to providing the highest quality education
for students is the hallmark and tradition of W. Tresper Clarke High
School; and

WHEREAS, As it progresses further into the 21st Century, W. Tresper
Clarke High School stands prepared to reach out, in earnest and
enthusiastic quest of its mission, promoting the maximum growth of every
student, and developing the skills which will carry its students and the
citizens of its community into the future; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend W. Tresper Clarke High School upon the occasion of being named a
top public high school in New York State by U.S. News & World Report:
Best High Schools 2019, noting the significance of its accomplishment,
and recognizing the role such effective schools play in transforming the
quality of life in their community, State and Nation; and be it further


RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to W. Tresper Clarke High School.
