HONORING Anthony B.H. Habib and his family upon
the occasion of their designation as recipients of
the Lifetime Achievement Award by the Kenmore Mercy
Foundation on November 16, 2018

WHEREAS, From time to time this Legislative Body takes note of
certain extraordinary individuals it wishes to recognize for their
valued contributions to the success and progress of society and publicly
acknowledge their endeavors which have enhanced the basic humanity among
us all; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Anthony B.H. Habib and his family upon the occasion of their designation
as recipients of the Lifetime Achievement Award by the Kenmore Mercy
Foundation, celebrated at its A Tribute to Angels Event on Friday,
November 16, 2018, at Salvatore's Italian Gardens in Lancaster, New
York; and

WHEREAS, The Kenmore Mercy Foundation raises funds from friends
across the community who wish to support the hospital's mission of
providing compassionate healthcare to the residents of Erie County, New
York; and

WHEREAS, Created in 2008 to honor past recipients of the Sister Mary
Mechtilde Memorial Award who continue to actively support the Kenmore
Mercy Foundation, the Lifetime Achievement Award is a tribute to
individuals whose unwavering spirit and determination have greatly
benefited the hospital and community as a whole for years; and

WHEREAS, President of the Kenmore Mercy Foundation's Board of
Trustees, Anthony B.H. Habib and his family have actively supported the
foundation for more than 15 years through significant monetary donations
and by giving of their time and energy to various community events and
projects; and

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when
individuals of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our
attention, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens
of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Anthony B.H. Habib and his family upon the occasion of their
designation as recipients of the Lifetime Achievement Award by the
Kenmore Mercy Foundation on November 16, 2018; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Anthony B.H. Habib and his family.
