CONGRATULATING Robin Boucher upon the occasion of
her retirement after 33 years of distinguished
service to the East Meadow Union Free School
District

WHEREAS, It is the practice of this Legislative Body to take note of
and publicly acknowledge individuals of remarkable integrity and
character whose endeavors have enhanced the quality of education in this
great State; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
congratulate Robin Boucher upon the occasion of her retirement after 33
years of distinguished service to the East Meadow Union Free School
District to be celebrated on Wednesday, June 26, 2019; and

WHEREAS, A true inspiration and mentor, Robin Boucher has served the
East Meadow Union Free School District for more than three decades; and

WHEREAS, Robin Boucher began and ended her illustrious career in
education with the East Meadow Union Free School District where she
served as a third, fourth, fifth and sixth grade teacher; in addition,
she was a math lab and computer teacher; and

WHEREAS, As a knowledgeable and highly skilled teacher, Robin
Boucher has improved the quality of education at the East Meadow Union
Free School District by leading and supporting staff with enthusiasm,
cultivating a positive and stimulating school environment for her
students, and creating a greater sense of community; and

WHEREAS, Over the years, Robin Boucher has given of her time and
energies to many professional committees which designed both curriculum
and student assessments; and

WHEREAS, A caring, competent and committed leader, Robin Boucher's
character and integrity are the hallmarks of her life and work as an
educator, a community volunteer and as a person; and

WHEREAS, The East Meadow and Westbury, New York communities are
indeed fortunate and blessed to have had such a dedicated and respected
educational leader; her wisdom and contributions reached into every
classroom, truly making a difference in the lives of her countless
students and those lucky enough to have worked with her; and

WHEREAS, In completing her service as an educator, Robin Boucher
leaves behind more than mere bricks and mortar; she leaves behind a
legacy to the students of the East Meadow Union Free School District and
to the residents of the East Meadow and Westbury communities; now,
therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Robin Boucher upon the occasion of her retirement, and to wish her
continued success in all her future endeavors; and be it further


RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Robin Boucher.
