CONGRATULATING the Chenango Forks Football Team
upon the occasion of capturing the New York State
Public High School Athletic Association Class B
Championship

WHEREAS, Individual and team championships are highly sought after
in high school sports; this Legislative Body commends rare athletic
achievements and pays special recognition to those who pursue such
excellence and become examples for the youth of this great Empire State;
and

WHEREAS, Excellence and success in competitive sports can be
achieved only through strenuous practice, team play and team spirit,
nurtured by dedicated coaching and strategic planning; and

WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to congratulate the
Chenango Forks High School Football Team upon the occasion of capturing
the New York State Public High School Athletic Association Class B State
Championship on Sunday, December 1, 2019, in Syracuse, New York; and

WHEREAS, To the praise and applause of their excited fans, the Blue
Devils were able to surmount their opponents in the New York State
Championship game and accomplish the utmost high school sporting
accomplishment in this great Empire State; and

WHEREAS, The Chenango Forks Blue Devils ended a very successful
season finishing undefeated with a record of 13-0 and capped their
historic season off with a 38-14 victory over Section 2 Champion
Schuylerville to secure the Class B New York State Football
Championship; and

WHEREAS, These are not uncharted waters for the Blue Devils, as this
is their fourth title in seven years and the program's first since 2015,
further showing the dedication and drive that the Chenango Forks
Football Team has year in and year out; and

WHEREAS, In a sport such as Football, which demands athletic
prowess, an abundance of strength, and mental toughness, Head Coach
David Hogan worked hard to hone the skills of this championship team,
teaching these outstanding athletes lessons which will prove invaluable
both on and off the field; and

WHEREAS, Coach Hogan and his staff, along with all the outstanding
athletes on the Chenango Forks Football Team have clearly utilized
dedication, determination and teamwork in providing a lasting
contribution to the spirit of excellence which is a tradition of their
school; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate the members of the Chenango Forks Football Team: Tyler
Ferrara, Grady Stark, Ronnie McCray, Austin Love, Jack Zimmerman, Victor
Arciolla, Ray Austin, Taeron Spivey, Ryan Joseph, Zander Arnold, Cole
Stapleton, Walker Paske, Sean Pearson, Reese Zukosky, Jacob Brown, Dubbs

Haqq, Antony Arciolla, Ethan Brown, Lucas Scott, Ryan Barrows, Isaac
Silvanic, Hunter Testa, Romeo Howe, Jonathan Goodspeed, Nasir Weaver,
Julian Parker, Hunter Gibbore, Mark Grannis, Tyler Hayes, Matt Brewster,
Cameron O'Brien, Lucas Sickles, Tyler Truesdail, Brad Needles, Dylan
Furman, Matt Paske; Head Coach Dave Hogan; Assistant Coaches, Kelsey
Green, Chris Spencer, and Mike Curtis; Statisticians, Meira Hogan,
Sydney Young, Michelle Boyle; and Ball Boys, David Hogan, Alex Maurer,
Chris Boyle, and Rudy Pavlick; and be it further

RESOLVED, That copies of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to the members of the Chenango Forks Football Team.
