MOURNING the death of Francis J. Pandich, Jr.,
renowned firefighter, distinguished citizen and
devoted family man

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to pay tribute to
citizens of the State of New York whose lifework and civic endeavor
served to enhance the quality of life in their communities and the great
State of New York; and

WHEREAS, It is with feelings of deepest regret that this Legislative
Body records the passing of Francis J. Pandich, Jr., an extraordinary
man of indomitable faith and dedication whose purposeful life will long
serve as a standard to which others might aspire; and

WHEREAS, Francis (Fran) J. Pandich, Jr. of Endwell, New York, died
on Wednesday, August 21, 2019, at the age of 61; and

WHEREAS, This extraordinary man was a member of the O.L. Davis Fire
Company for 41 years, during which time he held the positions of
Lieutenant, Captain, and Assistant Chief in the Endwell Fire Department;
and

WHEREAS, Well respected by those serving alongside him, Francis J.
Pandich, Jr. distinguished himself in his 34 years of service as a
district manager with Handleman Company; he truly exemplified the
meaning of sacrifice, and his faithfulness and allegiance will never be
forgotten; and

WHEREAS, Francis J. Pandich, Jr.'s commitment to excellence, and his
spirit of humanity, carried over into all fields of enterprise,
including charitable and civic endeavors; and

WHEREAS, Predeceased by his parents, Francis and Janice (Collier);
Francis J. Pandich, Jr. is survived by his beloved wife and best friend
of almost 30 years, Michele (Smith); his daughter, Heather; his son,
Jason (Julie); his father-in-law, Carl; his loving siblings, Valerie
(Albert), James (Melanie), Lori and Scott; as well as his niece and
nephew, Jaclyn and Adam; and

WHEREAS, Armed with a humanistic spirit and imbued with a sense of
compassion, Francis J. Pandich, Jr. leaves behind a legacy which will
long endure the passage of time and will remain as a comforting memory
to all he served and befriended; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
mourn the death of Francis J. Pandich, Jr., renowned firefighter,
distinguished citizen and devoted family man; and let it be further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to the family of Francis J. Pandich, Jr.
