COMMENDING African 459 Lodge No. 63, Brooklyn
Prince Hall Masonic Temple upon the occasion of
hosting its 2020 Divine Service on March 8, 2020
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body, in keeping with
its time-honored traditions, to recognize and pay tribute to those
organizations which foster ethnic pride and enhance the profile of
cultural diversity which strengthens the fabric of the communities of
New York State; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
commend African 459 Lodge No. 63, Brooklyn Prince Hall Masonic Temple
upon the occasion of hosting its 2020 Divine Service under the spiritual
leadership of Pastor Rashad Raymond Moore, to be held at First Baptist
Church of Crown Heights, Brooklyn, New York, on Sunday, March 8, 2020;
and
WHEREAS, African Lodge 459 was the founding lodge of Prince Hall
Freemasonry; it is the lodge from which all modern Prince Hall Lodges
trace their descent; and
WHEREAS, African 459 Lodge No. 63 is under the luminous direction of
MW Walter C. King Jr., 33 GRAND MASTER; WM Darryl K. Taylor; SW Richard
Williams; DDGM Derek Pritchett; and JW Shane Gooding; and
WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body that when
institutions of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our
attention, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens
of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend African 459 Lodge No. 63, Brooklyn Prince Hall Masonic Temple
upon the occasion of hosting its 2020 Divine Service; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted African 459 Lodge No. 63, Brooklyn Prince Hall Masonic
Temple, Brooklyn, New York.
