COMMENDING the Medgar Evers College School of
Business and the Center for Business & Economic
Research upon the occasion of hosting its 9th
International Conference on Business & Economic
Development to be held on April 6-7, 2020
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and
commend those institutions of true purpose and high achievement whose
exemplary programs and accomplishments clearly demonstrate an enduring
pursuit of excellence in higher education for the young adults of this
noble Empire State; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
commend the Medgar Evers College School of Business and the Center for
Business & Economic Research upon the occasion of hosting its 9th
International Conference on Business & Economic Development to be held
on April 6-7, 2020, at the JFK Crown Plaza; and
WHEREAS, Under the able leadership of Jo-Ann Rolle, Ph.D., Dean of
Medgar Evers College, there has been a three-year collaboration with the
London-based Center for Business & Economic Research group to co-host
this conference in New York City; and
WHEREAS, This conference brings exciting new events, international
scholars, thought leaders, and experts to the city of Brooklyn, New
York; and
WHEREAS, This occasion presents an opportunity for this Legislative
Body to recognize and pay tribute to the Medgar Evers College School of
Business and the Center for Business & Economic Research; and
WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body that when
institutions of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our
attention, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens
of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend the Medgar Evers College School of Business and the Center for
Business & Economic Research upon the occasion of hosting its 9th
International Conference on Business & Economic Development; and be it
further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Dr. Jo-Anne Rolle, Dean of Medgar Evers College School of
Business.
