MOURNING the death of Robert DeSieno,
distinguished citizen and devoted member of his
community

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to pay tribute to
citizens of the State of New York whose lifework and civic endeavor
served to enhance the quality of life in their communities and this
great Empire State; and

WHEREAS, Robert DeSieno of Wilton, New York, died on Wednesday, June
3, 2020, at the age of 57; and

WHEREAS, Born on February 11, 1963, in Woodland, California, Robert
was the son of Robert P. DeSieno and Marcie Barrett DeSieno; and

WHEREAS, Robert DeSieno distinguished himself in his profession and
by his sincere dedication and substantial contribution to the welfare of
his community; and

WHEREAS, Robert DeSieno was employed for more than 18 years as a
messenger for the New York State Senate; and

WHEREAS, Although he lived a life of struggle with a developmental
handicap, Robert DeSieno was always courageous and committed to
strengthening his abilities; he worked hard at becoming a caring and
valuable member of his community, as well as a beloved member of his
family; and

WHEREAS, In his leisure time, Robert DeSieno loved to talk baseball;
he also enjoyed reading and researching various topics and used that
knowledge to educate the people who were in his life; and

WHEREAS, Predeceased by his mother, Marcie DeSieno, Robert DeSieno
is survived by his father, Robert DeSieno; and his brother, Timothy
DeSieno and his wife, Joanne De Silva; as well as his three nephews,
Jacob, Joshua, and Zachary; and

WHEREAS, Armed with a humanistic spirit and imbued with a sense of
compassion, Robert DeSieno, who taught the valuable lesson of how to
struggle through adversity and sustain dignity in life's trying moments,
leaves behind a legacy which will long endure the passage of time and
will remain as a comforting memory to all he served and befriended; now,
therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
mourn the death of Robert DeSieno, and to express its deepest
condolences to his family; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to the family of Robert DeSieno.
