COMMENDING TACS Auto Body Service upon the
occasion of its designation as recipient of the
Business of the Year Award by the Bethlehem Chamber
of Commerce on April 11, 2019

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize the
achievements of those individuals and businesses that contribute
substantially to the economic vitality of their communities, thereby
enhancing economic well-being of the entire Empire State; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
commend TACS Auto Body Service upon the occasion of its designation as
recipient of the Business of the Year Award by the Bethlehem Chamber of
Commerce to be celebrated at its 34th Annual Awards Dinner on Thursday,
April 11, 2019, at Normanside Country Club, Delmar, New York; and

WHEREAS, This auspicious award recognizes a business for the
positive impact it has on the economic, cultural, civic, and
humanitarian advancement of its community; TACS Auto Body Service is one
such business; and

WHEREAS, TACS Auto Body Service, established by Erwin Ungerer in
1979, is a family owned and operated Full Service and Collision Repair
Facility in Glenmont, New York; and

WHEREAS, Beginning as a small 2,200 square foot business, TACS Auto
Body Service quickly gained a reputation for top quality collision
repairs, honesty and dependability, and has since grown to a 10,500
square foot facility with 12 full time employees; and

WHEREAS, After four decades of business, TACS Auto Body Service
remains true to its motto of "Doin' nice things for people and the cars
they drive"; and

WHEREAS, With a team of highly trained professionals ready to assist
its customers with all service and auto body needs, TACS Auto Body
Service can repair anything from the smallest scratch to the largest
collision accident; and

WHEREAS, Furthermore, this extraordinary business performs all
routine vehicle maintenance, including New York State inspections, oil
changes and tune ups; and

WHEREAS, Today, the business continues to be family owned with Erwin
Ungerer's three sons, Matt, Kevin and Brian, operating the facility on a
daily basis, each with unique knowledge and qualifications; and

WHEREAS, A true asset to the community, the owners of TACS Auto Body
Service sponsor several local events each year, and are actively
involved in such organizations as the Bethlehem Chamber of Commerce and
Boy Scout Troop 75; and

WHEREAS, Over its distinguished 40-year history, TACS Auto Body
Service has demonstrated continuous service to the residents and
communities which it serves; and

WHEREAS, The success of TACS Auto Body Service is in direct
correlation to the efforts of its hardworking and dedicated staff, whose
involvement is, and always has been, characterized by an impressive
commitment, an unbridled enthusiasm, and an uncompromising standard of
excellence in all endeavors on behalf of the business and the community
it serves; and

WHEREAS, It is with great pleasure that this Legislative Body
acknowledges this exceptional business, its contributions to the local
and state economies, and its vibrant role in improving the quality of
life in its community, fully confident that it will continue to enjoy
the sparkling successes it has experienced thus far; now, therefore, be
it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend TACS Auto Body Service upon the occasion of its designation as
recipient of the Business of the Year Award by the Bethlehem Chamber of
Commerce on April 11, 2019; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to TACS Auto Body Service, Glenmont, New York.
