HONORING the Clarence Schools Enrichment
Foundation upon the occasion of its designation as
recipient of the Organization of the Year Award by
the Clarence Chamber of Commerce on March 5, 2020

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to commend those
illustrious organizations of the State of New York whose focus and
intent have made a substantial impact on the quality of life in their
communities; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
the Clarence Schools Enrichment Foundation upon the occasion of its
designation as recipient of the Organization of the Year Award by the
Clarence Chamber of Commerce, to be celebrated at its 48th Annual Awards
Dinner on Thursday, March 5, 2020, at Samuel's Grande Manor,
Williamsville, New York; and

WHEREAS, The Clarence Schools Enrichment Foundation is receiving
this prestigious award for its steadfast and unremitting commitment to
its beloved community of Clarence, New York; and

WHEREAS, The Clarence Schools Enrichment Foundation's core mission
is to enhance the educational experiences of students in the Clarence
Central School District by offering ancillary enrichment in the arts,
sciences, math, technology, applied career skills and athletics; and

WHEREAS, This vital organization was founded in 2013 by a group of
parents who were determined to find a way to restore the extracurricular
and interscholastic programs that have been subject to budget cuts; and

WHEREAS, Since its inception, the Clarence Schools Enrichment
Foundation has raised and donated more than $400,000 to help fund
programs for all grade levels in every school in the district, enhancing
participation and providing critical learning opportunities for its
students; and

WHEREAS, Under the able leadership of its President Jenna
DePasquale, the Foundation raised significant funds to restore the
district's marching band, bringing back community spirit and affording
its 1,300 students the opportunity to continue to participate; and

WHEREAS, With a steadfast and unwavering commitment to its
community, the Clarence Schools Enrichment Foundation was instrumental
in establishing the Community Carnival and the Faculty Basketball Game,
two events which bring district students, staff and community members
together, building school spirit; and

WHEREAS, The success of the Clarence Schools Enrichment Foundation
is in direct correlation to the efforts of its dedicated Board members
and Directors, whose involvement is, and always has been, characterized
by an impressive commitment, an unbridled enthusiasm, and an

uncompromising standard of excellence in all endeavors on behalf of the
organization and the community it serves; and

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body that when
individuals and organizations of such noble aims and accomplishments are
brought to our attention, they should be celebrated and recognized by
all the citizens of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor the Clarence Schools Enrichment Foundation upon the occasion of
its designation as recipient of the Organization of the Year Award by
the Clarence Chamber of Commerce; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Jenna DePasquale, President of the Clarence Schools
Enrichment Foundation.
