Assembly Resolution No. 1027

in relation to the election and seating of
Monique Chandler-Waterman as a Member of the
Assembly from the 58th Assembly District

WHEREAS, There is a vacancy existing in the membership of this
House, which was filled at the election held on May 24, 2022; and

WHEREAS, The final official canvass of the votes cast at said
election and certification thereof of the person elected thereat, cannot
be made at this time; and

WHEREAS, The Board of Elections of the City of New York has advised
that the votes cast for the Office of Member of Assembly in the 58th
Assembly District in the County of Kings shown by its canvass were
respectively as follows: Monique Chandler-Waterman, Democrat and Working
Families, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-six; Monique Allen-Davy,
Republican and Conservative, fifty-five; Hercules E. Reid, Education is
Key, four hundred and thirty-one; and

WHEREAS, It appears that the results of the votes cast in said
Assembly District cannot be affected by the final official canvass of
such voters; and

WHEREAS, Monique Chandler-Waterman has duly taken an oath of office
as a Member of Assembly; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That Monique Chandler-Waterman, Democrat and Working
Families, is duly elected and qualified as a Member of the Assembly for
her respective district and that she be seated in this House as such
Member.
