Assembly Resolution No. 576

in relation to the election and seating of Nikki
Lucas as a Member of the Assembly from the 60th
Assembly District

WHEREAS, There is a vacancy existing in the membership of this
House, which was filled at the election held on February 15, 2022; and

WHEREAS, The final official canvass of the votes cast at said
election and certification thereof of the person elected thereat, cannot
be made at this time; and

WHEREAS, The Board of Elections of the City of New York has advised
that the votes cast for the Office of Member of Assembly in the 60th
Assembly District in the County of New York shown by its canvass were
respectively as follows: Nikki Lucas, Democrat, two thousand
seventy-four, Marvin J. King, Republican and Conservative, fifty-three;
Keron Alleyne, Working Families, five hundred nineteen; and

WHEREAS, It appears that the results of the votes cast in said
Assembly District cannot be affected by the final official canvass of
such voters; and

WHEREAS, Nikki Lucas has duly taken an oath of office as a Member of
Assembly; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That Nikki Lucas, Democrat, is duly elected and qualified
as a Member of the Assembly for her respective district and that she be
seated in this House as such Member.
