MOURNING the death of Catherine L. Keep,
distinguished citizen and devoted member of her
community
WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to pay tribute to
citizens of the State of New York whose lifework and civic endeavor
served to enhance the quality of life in their communities and this
great Empire State; and
WHEREAS, Catherine L. Keep of Lisle, New York, died on Sunday,
November 21, 2021; and
WHEREAS, Catherine L. Keep's commitment to excellence, and her
spirit of humanity, carried over into all fields of enterprise,
including charitable and civic endeavors; and
WHEREAS, Catherine L. Keep was a lifetime member of the Lisle Fire
Company and Med Team; she devoted her life to community service, serving
as Med Captain for both the Lisle Med Team and the Whitney Point Fire
Department Med Team; and
WHEREAS, Always there for the community, Catherine L. Keep took part
in many fundraisers and benefits throughout the years; she strongly
believed in community service, and passed that passion on to her family;
and
WHEREAS, Predeceased by her parents, David and Francis Wall; her
brother, Charles Springer; and her grandson, Kaden Hughes, Catherine L.
Keep is survived by the love of her life and best friend of 22 years,
Thaddeus (Skip) Keep; six children, Sean Walsh, Eric (Wendy) Hughes,
Joel Hughes, Ryan Hughes, Ashley Keep, and Thaddeus (Tatiana) Keep, Jr.;
five siblings, Donna Mooney, Robert (Mary) Springer, James (Shari)
Springer, Peg (Butch) Springstead, and David (Beth) Wall; and 10
grandchildren, Brandon Pittsley, Haiden Gates, Laci Gates, Aubrey
Hughes, Elijah Walsh, Keira Walsh, Arabella Hughes, Nathan Walsh,
Thaddeus Keep III, and Trysten Keep; as well as countless nieces,
nephews, cousins and extended family members; and
WHEREAS, Armed with a humanistic spirit and imbued with a sense of
compassion, Catherine L. Keep leaves behind a legacy which will long
endure the passage of time and will remain as a comforting memory to all
she served and befriended; she will be deeply missed and truly merits
the grateful tribute of this Legislative Body; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
mourn the death of Catherine L. Keep, and to express its deepest
condolences to her family; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to the family of Catherine L. Keep.
