HONORING Emma Rucinski upon the occasion of her
designation as recipient of the Youth Award by the
Bethlehem Chamber of Commerce on April 28, 2022

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and
pay tribute to those young people within the great Empire State who have
made strong contributions to their communities and who serve as role
models for their peers; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Emma Rucinski upon the occasion of her designation as recipient of the
Youth Award by the Bethlehem Chamber of Commerce to be celebrated at its
35th Annual Awards Dinner on Thursday, April 28, 2022, at Altamont
Vineyard, Altamont, New York; and

WHEREAS, An eighth-grade student at St. Thomas the Apostle School,
Emma Rucinski is being recognized with this auspicious award for her
tireless efforts volunteering at the food pantry and with local nursing
home residents; and

WHEREAS, Emma Rucinski is an active volunteer at St. Thomas the
Apostle School where she regularly assists younger students; and

WHEREAS, Furthermore, with a steadfast and unwavering commitment to
her school and community, Emma Rucinski is currently working on her
final project which involves researching ways to help animals; as part
of this project, she is coordinating a fundraiser to help the Humane
Society; and

WHEREAS, Emma Rucinski has distinguished herself as a young lady of
superlative ability, establishing a high standard of excellence and
purposefulness of life rarely achieved in youthful years; and

WHEREAS, With her sense of civic duty and her commitment to others,
Emma Rucinski represents the best development of the potential which is
inherent in our most precious resource, our youth; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Emma Rucinski upon the occasion of her designation as recipient of
the Youth Award by the Bethlehem Chamber of Commerce on April 28, 2022;
and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Emma Rucinski.
