HONORING Lily Luper upon the occasion of her
designation as recipient of the Lenore Bellin
Memorial Award by the Sidney Albert Albany Jewish
Community Center

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to recognize and
pay tribute to those young people within the great Empire State who have
made strong contributions to their communities and who serve as role
models for their peers; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Lily Luper upon the occasion of her designation as recipient of the
Lenore Bellin Memorial Award by the Sidney Albert Albany Jewish
Community Center to be celebrated on Sunday, May 15, 2022; and

WHEREAS, Each year, this prestigious awards ceremony recognizes
individuals for their contributions to the Center and the Jewish
community-at-large by acting as moral pillars and dispensers of wisdom
and advice, providing continued service and leadership, and acting
generously in the spirit of Tzedakah; and

WHEREAS, Lily Luper has distinguished herself as a young woman of
superlative ability, establishing a high standard of leadership,
academic excellence and purposefulness of life rarely achieved in
youthful years; and

WHEREAS, The Albany Jewish Community Center has had a profound
impact on Lily Luper's life; widely known for her extraordinary
dedication to the local community, her leadership endeavors continue to
inspire all of those who are lucky enough to know her; and

WHEREAS, This occasion presents an opportunity for this Legislative
Body to wish Lily Luper continued success throughout her school years
and beyond; and

WHEREAS, With her sense of civic duty and her commitment to others,
Lily Luper represents the best development of the potential which is
inherent in our most precious resource, our youth; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Lily Luper upon the occasion of her designation as recipient of
the Lenore Bellin Memorial Award by the Sidney Albert Albany Jewish
Community Center; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Lily Luper.
