CONGRATULATING Lorraine Deller upon the occasion
of her retirement after more than 22 years of
distinguished service as Executive Director of the
Nassau-Suffolk School Boards Association

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to honor the life
and accomplishments of individuals whose enduring commitment and
dedication significantly enhance the quality of education in their
community; and

WHEREAS, The American public school system is a treasured
institution; those individuals, such as Lorraine Deller, who work to
improve our schools and ensure that all children have access to quality
educational programs merit the highest commendation of this Legislative
Body; and

WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to congratulate
Lorraine Deller upon the occasion of her retirement after more than 22
years of distinguished service as Executive Director of the
Nassau-Suffolk School Boards Association to be celebrated at a Dinner on
Thursday, June 16, 2022, at Chateau La Mer in Lindenhurst, New York; and

WHEREAS, For the past 22 years, Lorraine Deller rendered faithful,
conscientious and valuable service to the Nassau-Suffolk School Boards
Association; and

WHEREAS, In her capacity as Executive Director, Lorraine Deller
served with loyalty, honor and distinction; she truly believes in the
children of Long Island, and throughout her tenure, she diligently
worked to improve public education, allowing students to thrive and
flourish, and provide them the tools and skills to become successful
citizens; and

WHEREAS, In her official acts, Lorraine Deller was governed by a
keen sense of duty and always showed a unique grasp of human problems,
earning the admiration, esteem and affection of her colleagues; and

WHEREAS, Lorraine Deller has clearly had an enduring impact on the
youth of New York State, and accordingly merits recognition and applause
for her impressive dedication to others; now, therefore, be

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate Lorraine Deller upon the occasion of her retirement after
more than 22 years of distinguished service as Executive Director of the
Nassau-Suffolk School Boards Association, and to wish her well in all
her future endeavors; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Lorraine Deller.
