MOURNING the tragic death of Kade Ashton Tyler
Lewin, beloved son and brother, bright student, and
friend of many
WHEREAS, It is with feelings of deepest regret that this Legislative
Body records the passing of Kade Ashton Tyler Lewin, an extraordinary
young man of indomitable faith and dedication whose short, yet
purposeful life will long serve as a standard to which others might
aspire; and
WHEREAS, A young man of boundless energy and talent, Kade Ashton
Tyler Lewin of Brooklyn, New York, died on March 31, 2022, at the age of
12; and
WHEREAS, Kade Ashton Tyler Lewin was born May 1, 2009, and was a
seventh-grade student at Brooklyn Science and Engineer Academy; he had
an eagerness to finish the eighth grade and begin learning at his high
school; and
WHEREAS, He was known by his family as a sweet and gentle young man
who loved spending time with his family and friends, especially his
nieces, Kylie and Izaria, as well as his beloved cousin Jenna, to whom
he was inseparable; and
WHEREAS, Kade Ashton Tyler Lewin cherished nights spent watching
movies with his mother, playing video games, and playing football; he
was an exceptional athlete, playing from the heart, as he did with every
endeavor he pursued; and
WHEREAS, A youth member at the New Life Tabernacle since 2019, Kade
Ashton Tyler Lewin was also an active participant in the church's youth
summer camp; he was acknowledging and developing his relationship with
his Savior; and
WHEREAS, Kade Ashton Tyler Lewin is survived by his mother, Suzzette
Lewin; father, Rudolph Ford; brothers, Andre and Damion; nieces, Kylie
and Izaria; many cousins, including Jenna, to whom he was closest;
aunts, uncles, extended family, and his cherished friends; and
WHEREAS, Armed with a humanistic spirit, an infectious smile, and
imbued with a sense of compassion, Kade Ashton Tyler Lewin leaves behind
a legacy which will long endure the passage of time and will remain as a
comforting memory to all he loved and befriended; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
mourn the tragic death of Kade Ashton Tyler Lewin, and to express its
deepest condolences to his family; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to the family of Kade Ashton Tyler Lewin.
