CONGRATULATING Coach Rich McCabe upon the occasion
of his 600th career victory as Head Coach of the
Fort Ann Boys' Soccer Team

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to commend notable
educators and athletic coaches who serve the youth of this great Empire
State, and who have distinguished themselves and their schools through
outstanding commitment and exemplary athletic achievement; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
congratulate Coach Rich McCabe upon the occasion of his 600th career
victory as Head Coach of the Fort Ann Boys' Soccer Team; and

WHEREAS, Coach Rich McCabe reached the 600-win mark as Fort Ann
defeated Granville 6-0 in the Adirondack League boys' soccer game; and

WHEREAS, This skilled and inspirational tutor is only the second
coach in Section II to reach 600 wins, and is No. 3 on the New York
State's All-Time win list; and

WHEREAS, Coach Rich McCabe began coaching at Fort Ann High School in
1980, when the boys' soccer program was just three years-old; and

WHEREAS, This year marks his 40th season and he has led the
Cardinals to 20 Adirondack League titles, 17 Sectional crowns, six State
Regional titles, and one New York State Championship; and

WHEREAS, In addition, Coach Rich McCabe owns New York State's
second-longest unbeaten streak, 64 games from 2014-2016; and

WHEREAS, Coach Rich McCabe's positive demeanor, selfless commitment,
and caring concern have contributed to his enduring success as both a
coach and a mentor, earning him the just respect and admiration of his
community, his peers, and the athletes he has so ably coached; and

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the well-being and vitality of their community and have shown a
long and sustained commitment to excellence certainly have earned the
recognition and applause of all the citizens of this great Empire State;
now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate Coach Rich McCabe upon the occasion of his 600th career
victory as Head Coach of the Fort Ann Boys' Soccer Team; and be it
further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Coach Rich McCabe.
