CONGRATULATING Janice Squadrito upon the occasion
of her retirement after 19 years of distinguished
service to the Community Foundation of Herkimer and
Oneida Counties
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and
honor those distinguished citizens of this great Empire State who have
devoted themselves to faithfully serving the best interests of their
community and the needs of its residents; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
congratulate Janice Squadrito upon the occasion of her retirement after
19 years of distinguished service to the Community Foundation of
Herkimer and Oneida Counties; and
WHEREAS, Within every community of the State of New York there are
certain individuals who, by virtue of their commitment and dedication,
command the respect and admiration of their community for their
exemplary contributions and service on behalf of others; Janice
Squadrito, who has devoted her purposeful life and career to numerous
vital nonprofit organizations, is one such individual; and
WHEREAS, Janice Squadrito came to the Mohawk Valley from her
childhood home in Illinois; she and her husband Ralph have resided in
Oneida County for many years; and
WHEREAS, In January of 2021, Janice Squadrito celebrated her
retirement from the Community Foundation after years of remarkable and
meaningful work enabling the nonprofit ecosystem to meet residents needs
in critical ways; and
WHEREAS, Throughout her illustrious career, Janice Squadrito served
the Community Foundation of Herkimer and Oneida Counties with
intelligence and caring dedication, continuously striving to effectively
fulfill the duties of her position; and
WHEREAS, Sincerely loved and greatly respected by all those with
whom she worked, Janice Squadrito will be remembered for her honesty,
integrity, keen sense of duty and ability to show a unique grasp of
human problems in her official acts; and
WHEREAS, With her throughout has been her loving husband, Ralph, who
feels privileged to be a part of her life and rejoices in her
achievements; the couple plan to enjoy the freedoms of a well-deserved
retirement; and
WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body that when
individuals of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our
attention, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens
of the great State of New York; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate Janice Squadrito upon the occasion of her retirement from
the Community Foundation of Herkimer and Oneida Counties, and extend to
her the collective gratitude of all whose lives she touched during an
exemplary career of nonprofit service to others; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Janice Squadrito.
