February 15, 2017
(Albany, NY)- Senator John J. Bonacic (R/C/I-Mt. Hope) is pleased to announce that he has secured a $50,000 grant for the Town of Hamtonburgh to assist with the purchase of a new road mower for the Highway Department. The road mower will help control roadside vegetation, which will improve traffic safety in the town. The grant was secured through the State and Municipal Facilities program, funding that was appropriated in the 2016-2017 State Budget.
“I’m pleased to have been able to secure this grant for the Town of Hamptonburgh which will improve road conditions, and make it safer to drive in the Town,” said Senator Bonacic. “In addition to improving public safety, the grant will help ease the burden on Hamptonburgh taxpayers.”
Town of Hamptonburgh Supervisor Robert Jankowski said, “I want to thank Senator Bonacic for once again assisting the town in securing this grant funding. The money will allow our Highway Department to continue its mission of serving the public, and making it safe to drive.”
