(D- Jamaica) Senator Shirley L. Huntley, said, “Educating our children is vital to ensuring that they can succeed and prosper in today’s global economy and workforce. During these difficult economic times, children and working class families are suffering and would feel the harsh effects of budget cuts the most. Billionaires, Millionaires, and those earning in the high six figures would not face such conditions. A millionaire hit by a recession may lose a few bucks. A working class family could face loss of a home, a job, and critical services that they rely on from day to day. a home, car, inability to pay tuition.
