Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (R-Merrick) and Assemblyman Dave McDonough (R-North Merrick) recently joined with members of the Merrick-Bellmore Jewish Community Council as they headed into New York City to march in the annual “Salute to Israel” Parade.
Senator Fuschillo and Assemblyman McDonough met with the marchers at the Merrick Train Station as they prepared to board the train to Manhattan.
The Salute to Israel Parade is one of the largest events in the world celebrating Israeli independence. An estimated one million people turned out to watch the parade march down Fifth Avenue.
