Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (8th Senate District), in conjunction with the Adelphi New York Statewide Breast Cancer Hotline & Support Program and Sisters United in Health, will be presenting free breast cancer awareness workshop on Thursday, May 25th at the Columbus Avenue School in Freeport. The event will begin at 6 pm.
"Early detection saves lives in the fight against breast cancer," said Senator Fuschillo, a member of the Senate’s Health Committee. "This workshop gives residents the opportunity to speak with trained professionals and learn about the programs and services that can help them prevent and overcome breast cancer."
All residents are invited to attend the meeting to learn about breast health and breast cancer. Trained professionals will be at the event to answer questions and provide information about the support services that are available to breast cancer patients and their families. Residents will also be able to sign up for a free or low cost mammogram.
