State Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (R-Merrick) recently congratulated Phyllis Doria for being named “2009 Small Businessperson of the Year” by the Chamber of Commerce of the Massapequas.
A member of the Chamber of Commerce of the Massapequas for over sixteen years, Phyllis is an independent Avon representative who sells Avon products in Massapequa and the surrounding areas.
Phyllis, a Copiague resident, also holds a leadership role in the Chamber as its First Vice-President. She has helped organize several of the Chamber’s community events, including the community festival, business expo, and holiday celebrations.
“During her years as Chamber member, Phyllis has not only run a successful business but also given a great deal of time to serving the community. I am pleased to congratulate Phyllis on earning this special honor and thank her for all her hard work,” said Senator Fuschillo.
