Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (8th Senate District) recently held ameeting of his student advisory panel in his district office.
Senator Fuschillo’s student advisory panel is a group of high school students that meets with Senator Fuschillo several times a year to discuss some of the important issues facing the state. The panel is composed of students from high schools within Senator Fuschillo’s district.
During the meeting, the students debated the merits of changing the driving age, raising the smoking age, and what new incentives could be created to encourage people to use alternative energy sources, such as solar power.
"It is great to see young people take an active role in their government by discussing issues and offering their ideas," said Senator Fuschillo. "I look forward to hearing more of the students ideas at the next meeting."
