Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (8th Senate District) recently visited the third grade class at Forest Lake Elementary School in Wantagh to teach the students about government.
Senator Fuschillo described his role in the New York State Legislature and how new laws are created. He also explained how legislators are elected. Afterwards, the students got to ask questions and offered their ideas for new laws.
"Speaking to school children and teaching them about my role in Albany is one of the most enjoyable parts of this job," stated Senator Fuschillo. "I was very impressed by their questions and great ideas for the future of our State."
