State Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (8th Senate District) recently welcomed five All-State musicians from East Meadow High School to the State Capitol in Albany, where they were performing as part of the New York State School Music Association’s (NYSSMA) annual “Music In Our Schools Month.”

The students, Mark Adler, Evan Allen, Frank DeChirico, Alex Hoffman, and Benjamin Katz all performed with the All-State Instrumental Jazz Ensemble in the Empire State Plaza for an audience of legislators, staff members, and Capitol visitors. Senator Fuschillo attended the performance and congratulated each of the five students on being selected as All-State musicians.

“Through many hours of practice and hard work, these students were chosen from thousands of students from all across the state who auditioned for these prestigious ensembles.  Mark, Evan, Frank, Alex, and Benjamin are five very talented students who are fine representatives of their communities. I am proud to congratulate them on earning a place among an elite group of their peers,” said Senator Fuschillo.
