Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (R-Merrick) today visited Forest Lake Elementary School in Wantagh to thank students for participating in his annual “Extend the Holidays” toy drive.
“Extend the Holidays” is an annual toy drive Senator Fuschillo organizes for the benefit of children in Winthrop Hospital’s Pediatric Ward. The toys collected by the Forest Lake students will be delivered to the hospital after the holiday season, so that children can experience the joys of receiving a holiday gift throughout the year.
“It is wonderful to see children at such a young age work so hard to help others. The toys which the students collected will help bring extra cheer to children in the hospital who are going through tough times. Students at Forest Lake should be very proud of the job they did, and I thank them for their help,” said Senator Fuschillo.
