Senator James L. Seward will address the newest police officers in New York State at the graduation ceremony of the Otsego County Law Enforcement Academy on Saturday, January 19, at 5:00 p.m. at Hunt Union of the State University of Oneonta.
"I have great respect for the men and women who have been through the academy and their willingness to serve in the honorable profession of law enforcement," Seward said.
Graduates of the academy have completed months of classroom and field training. This year's class includes police officers from departments in Oneonta, Ilion, Canajoharie, Hamilton, Homer, Cazenovia, Fort Plain, Cooperstown, Delhi, Frankfort, St. Johnsville, and Deposit. The academy
trains officers from all over central and eastern New York State.
