John J. Flanagan

January 22, 2007

Senator John J. Flanagan (2nd Senate District) recently hosted the Webelos of St. Margaret of Scotland Pack 229 in his office as part of the children's efforts to earn the Citizen Activity Badge. The meeting was arranged by Webelos Den Leader Dawn Inderdohnen and Pack 229 Cubmaster Frank Punzi.

During the meeting, Senator Flanagan discussed his role as their state legislator and the role the scouts could play in the legislative process. The five boys took the opportunity to ask Senator Flanagan how he got involved in politics and about New York State.

"This was a great opportunity to introduce our government to these young scouts and I really appreciate their coming to my office. Their questions were fun and I hope they enjoyed our discussion as much as I did," said Senator Flanagan.
