Seniors Sail New York's Harbor

Brooklyn- State Senator Martin J. Golden, (R-C, 22nd District), Chairman of the New York State Senate Aging Committee, recently hosted a Senior Boat Ride for local senior citizens aboard the "Atlantis".

Senator Marty Golden has hosted this event for the past four years, an event that provides for an enjoyable afternoon and a memorable time for all. The boat rides features music, dancing, lunch. Seniors from the Gerritsen Beach Golden Age Club, St. Columba, St. Mark’s, Good Shepherd, Most Precious Blood, St. Simon and Jude, Marine Park Active Adults, Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Our Lady of Grace and St. James Evangelical Church were invited.

Senator Marty Golden stated, "Our community is home to many senior citizens who are active and who enjoy the greatness of our City, our many landmarks, and our harbor. It has always been a pleasure to host this boat ride as a special opportunity and a special day out. The sights of sounds of New York’s harbor were a backdrop to seniors enjoying their lunch, singing and dancing."
