Nozzolio To Keynote Lyons Chamber Dinner

Lyons--State Senator Michael F. Nozzolio (R-Fayette) will deliver the keynote address at the Lyons Chamber of Commerce Annual Dinner Banquet on Monday, January 17, at Trombino’s Restaurant in Lyons.

"The Lyons Chamber of Commerce and the Lyons community have achieved several important successes in 2004, and I am extremely pleased to have been able to support these efforts to revitalize Lyons and Wayne County," Senator Nozzolio said. "The Lyons Community Center is just one of these successes, having celebrated the groundbreaking of a new facility in the spring." Senator Nozzolio secured a $150,000 State grant for the Lyons Community Center project.

Chamber Director Deborah Murphy said, "Senator Nozzolio has demonstrated a heartfelt dedication and commitment to the residents of Lyons and Wayne County. His leadership and vision have been integral to our local community development."

Wayne County Planner Sharon Lilla praised Senator Nozzolio for his continued strong support for development of a passenger railway station in Lyons. "Senator Nozzolio has been instrumental in bringing much needed interest, financial support, and enthusiasm for this important project." Senator Nozzolio secured over $1 million for the project.

"My support for the Lyons community continues to focus on enhancing opportunities for growth. The Lyons Passenger Railway Station will help attract visitors to our community who will shop in our local stores and eat in our local restaurants, enhancing our economic development efforts and creating jobs," Senator Nozzolio concluded.

Senator Nozzolio will address dinner guests as part of the evening-long celebration which begins at 6:00 pm. Tickets are $25 per person, and can be purchased at the Lyons Chamber of Commerce offices at 13 Cherry Street, Lyons.
