Nozzolio Presents A Citizen’s Call To Action: A Blueprint For Our Region’s Future

Auburn- New York State Senator Michael F. Nozzolio today presented a report developed by local community leaders containing new economic development initiatives for Cayuga County.  The report is entitled Call to Action: A Blueprint for our Region’s Future.

Senator Nozzolio helped to bring together a Focus Group, made up of local residents, to help solve issues facing Cayuga County in the near and long-term. The Focus Group recommendations represent a call to action for local and regional leaders in government, education, business and industry.

The report has been endorsed by the Cayuga County Chamber of Commerce and includes a number of new initiatives to expand economic growth in Cayuga County and make the entire region a more attractive and viable place.

Through a number of meetings, the Focus Group assessed the strengths and weaknesses of the local community and region and focused the report on seven key areas to help the regional economy, including: job development, expanding and modernizing infrastructure technology, cultural development, riverfront development, health care, and protecting the watershed.
