Travel Alert for December 17, 18 and 19th Due to the Wake and Funeral for New York City Police Officer Figoski:
Please take note, that the wake and funeral for New York City Police Officer Figoski, who was killed in the line of duty this week, will be held in the Village of Babylon. The wake will he held on Saturday, December 17 and Sunday, December 18 at Boyd’s Funeral Home on Montauk Highway. The funeral will be on Monday, December 19 at 11:00 am at St. Joseph’s Church, N. Carll Avenue.
Be mindful of the fact a very large number of attendees is expected for the wake and the funeral, and traffic, especially near Twin Oaks, will be affected. For the funeral Mass on Monday, traffic may have to be re-routed throughout the Village of Babylon, and there may be parking issues as early as 9:00AM.
Burial will be at North Babylon Cemetery, on Livingston Avenue.
