Senator Steve Saland (R,I,C Poughkeepsie) today announced he has secured funding in the 2008-2009 State Budget for the Hudson River Valley Greenway.
“Communities are becoming more aware of the health and environmental benefits from having a well maintained system of recreational trails,” said Senator Saland. “The natural resources and beauty of the Hudson Valley are unparalleled. Each year there is a greater demand from local governments and organizations seeking monies to create and maintain trails. The Greenway’s Trail Grant Program provides such financing.
