Senator Saland Provides Information On Donation Contacts For Hurricane Katrina Relief Efforts

Senator Steve Saland (R,C Poughkeepsie) today announced that he has set up links on his web site to donation sites recommended by the federal government. The federal government has encouraged cash donations as the most helpful to victims of the hurricane. The cash donations will give agency’s the ability to issue cash vouchers and avoid the labor intensive storing of donated goods and the high cost of shipping goods by air.

Below is a list of phone numbers solely for cash donations. At there is also a link to the FEMA site which will provide information on additional cash donation sites as well as information on volunteering.
