A victory for America

It’s a long-awaited, significant victory for America in the war against terrorism.  Most importantly, it’s a  meaningful opportunity for citizens locally and across the nation to honor the bravery, perseverance, service and sacrifice of our nation’s incredible servicemen and servicewomen.  And as we do, our thoughts and prayers, approaching the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, remain with the families of the victims of that terrible day.

We can also be confident that for America’s military and military leaders, their focus and their work has already turned toward the next mission, the next trouble spot or threat, and the overriding need for national security.
