Notice to Constituents
On Monday, September 6, 2021, Governor Kathy Hochul received approval from President Biden for a Major Disaster Declaration due to the destruction caused by Hurricane Ida. It was clear when I toured Yonkers with Governor Hochul the gravity and intensity of damage done to my constituents and the district as a whole. The approval allowed access to FEMA’s resources for individuals, businesses, schools, and non-profits in the district and beyond.
Please find below resources connecting you to information that will assist in the recovery process from this devastating disaster.
Additionally, a FEMA disaster recovery center has been established at Grinton I. Will Library at 1500 Central Park Ave here in Yonkers. It will be open daily from 8 A.M. to 7 P.M. and will be open until further notice.
Please stay safe as your state, federal, county and local governments work together for our impacted communities.
