Senator Catharine Young (R,C,I - Olean) today announced a free compliance seminar aimed to help ensure restaurant and bar owners have the information they need to comply with the state’s liquor laws.
The training seminar, entitled “The ABC’s of the Alcoholic Beverage Control Law,” will be held on May 20th from 9:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m at Brockport State College.
“Knowing and complying with these laws can mean the difference between running a successful establishment and being forced to close your doors,” said Senator Young.
Representatives from the New York State Liquor Authority (SLA) and the Empire State Restaurant & Tavern Association (ESRTA) will be on hand to provide instruction and guidance on complying with the Alcoholic Beverage Control law, as well as other state regulations and policies. In addition, staff from the SLA will be on hand to field questions from the audience as well as work with individual licensees following the training.
Pre-registration for the seminar is required and owners and employees can call 518-486-4701 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org to register by the deadline of May 19th. Additional information can also be obtained at the SLA’s website at: http://www.abc.state.ny.us/
