Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (R-Merrick) and Hempstead Town Supervisor Kate Murray recently sponsored a program to provide free legal services to those in need.
Senator Fuschillo and Supervisor Murray arranged to bring the Mobile Legal Help Center, which is a partnership between the New York Legal Assistance Group (NYLAG) and the New York State Office of Court Administration, to Roosevelt. NYLAG attorneys provided free advice, legal counseling, and direct representation to local residents on matters such as Medicaid, Medicare, Social Security, and Social Security Disability.
Residents who were unable to attend the free legal services program but would like additional information can call NYLAG at 212-613-5000.
