Wantagh Eagle Scout Honored by New York State Senate
Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (R-Merrick) announced that the New York State Senate recently passed a legislative resolution he sponsored honoring Wantagh resident Paul Tredwell upon attaining the rank of Eagle Scout.
“Paul should be very proud of this great achievement. It takes years of hard work and community service to attain scouting’s highest rank,” said Senator Fuschillo. “I am pleased that the New York State Senate has recognized Paul’s remarkable accomplishment and congratulate him on earning this distinguished honor.”
Paul is a member of Troop 690 and after rising through the scouting ranks, successfully developed and executed a community service project which involved installing an automatic sprinkler system to the Pope John Paul II Memorial Garden in front of St. William the Abbot School in Seaford. Paul and fellow scouts from Troop 690 dug out and buried the sprinkler lines, installed sprinkler heads and configured them in order to assist in making the garden flourish.
With the Senate passage of this legislative resolution, Paul’s name and achievement will forever be part of the New York State Senate’s official record.
