To help families stay safe as the school year ends and summer vacation begins, Senator John Flanagan (2nd Senate District) is reminding all parents that summer is time for greater awareness and safety.  To assist parents, Senator Flanagan recently posted important tips on a special Summer Safety Information section on his web site.

While the summer season is an enjoyable time of the year, everyone in our community should exercise proper caution.  Senator Flanagan’s Summer Safety section provides useful safety information for everyone in the family including tips on water safety, extreme heat precautions, boating safety and energy savings.

“Long Island is one of the greatest places to live during the summer months.  I hope everyone is able to take some time to enjoy all that our region has to offer while also taking the proper precautions necessary to make it as carefree as possible.  Simply put - please be safe, be smart and be prepared,” stated Senator Flanagan.
