Albany, NY—State Senator Toby Ann Stavisky and members of the Higher Education and Health Committees will examine college campuses’ ability to cope with the H1N1 Swine Flu pandemic throughout the state of New York. Swine flu outbreaks have risen significantly since colleges returned to session leading to considerable illness.
The hearing will focus on the rate of swine flu on campuses, measures being taken to quell outbreaks, plans to cope with future outbreaks, and an increased susceptibility and risk amongst student populations.
