Thompson Seeking Input on Gas Drilling in Marcellus Shale

Roundtable to discuss the New York State Department of Environmental
Conservation's draft Supplemental Generic Environmental Impact Statement
governing natural gas drilling.
Buffalo, NY- State Senator Antoine M. Thompson (D- Parts of Erie & Niagara Counties), Chair of the Senate’s Environmental Conservation Committee announced a roundtable to solicit input and obtain feedback from the public on gas drilling in Marcellus Shale.
“ We must sensibly examine the issues surrounding gas drilling in Marcellus Shale and the impact that it might have on New York’s economy and environment before making a determination. This roundtable will identify ways of accomplishing these tasks,” stated Thompson.
