Mr. Heimbach currently serves as Vice Chairman of the Stewart Airport Commission, and is a member of the Urban Land Institute. He also served for 12 years as Orange County Executive and prior to that, he was elected three times as Supervisor of the Town of Wallkill. Mr. Heimbach is also a member of the Executive Committees of Mid-Hudson Pattern For Progress and the New York Committee for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve. He currently serves on the Boards of the Orange County Trust, the Orange County Chamber of Commerce, Horton Memorial Hospital, and the Boy Scouts of America. He is former Chairman of the NYS Association of Counties’ Blue Ribbon Task Force on Physically Handicapped Children.

"I cannot think of a better individual to serve on the Stewart Airport Commission," said Senator Larkin. "Lou Heimbach is a phenomenal leader and a brilliant business mind. It was my pleasure to speak on behalf of his nomination. We are fortunate that he continues to want to work on behalf of Orange County in so many ways."
