Senator Young recently appeared on the Senate TV program “Your Voice” to discuss her efforts to save Lake Shore Hospital, protect access to quality community healthcare, and restore our state’s economy.
Last month, more than 1,200 people came out to the Rally to Save Lake Shore and raise their voices in support of keeping the hospital open. They were heard all the way to Albany as we delivered a strong, unified message in support of protecting emergency care, ensuring access to vital health services, and preserving the hundreds of jobs provided by Lake Shore.
Senator Young’s online petition to Save Lake Shore Hospital continues to provide constituents with an opportunity to voice their support for the hospital. To sign the petition, click here:
With the continued support of so many concerned citizens, there is tremendous hope for saving Lake Shore Hospital and strengthen rural healthcare.
There are many other distressed hospitals across the entire state, and Senator Young is continuing to work extensively as a member of the Senate Health budget negotiating team on solutions to strengthen all of our hospitals. She is especially striving to help our rural hospitals with their financial concerns because it is critically important that everyone has access to quality health care.
On “Your Voice,” Senator Young also discussed New York’s other important budget issues and the critical need for tax cuts, job creation, and workforce training. Growing jobs and providing good economic opportunities is imperative to the restoration of our state, and continues to be her focus and mission in Albany. Making New York a more affordable place to live, work, and do business is the only way we can truly restore our state, which is why Senator Young is striving every day to produce results in Albany that directly help the communities in her district.
