JOIN THE FIGHT: No More Pensions for Convicted Politicians!

SEN. Michael H. Ranzenhofer

June 01, 2016

Dear Neighbor:

Politicians who betray the public trust should not be allowed to collect taxpayer-funded pensions.

During last year’s Legislative Session, I voted to enact a reform measure to end this practice.

Even though the State Senate, State Assembly and Governor announced an agreement to pass this law, the State Assembly failed to act.

Since the State Assembly didn’t pass this reform measure, politicians can still collect their pension– even after they are found guilty of a serious crime.

That is why I am asking for you to get the State Assembly to pass this pension forfeiture bill by signing my new online petition.  My petition calls on the State Assembly to do the right thing, keep their word and help keep convicted politicians from receiving their pension.  I encourage you to sign the petition below.

Working together, we can send a strong message to the State Assembly: no more pensions for convicted politicians!

Sincerely,

Senator Mike Ranzenhofer
